An Alabama mother is charged with endangering the safety of her child. The child was sitting in a cardboard box on top of her van down a highway. Albertville law enforcement arrested the 37-year-old mother. Police collected several phone calls that a minivan on the highway had a child riding on top.

The woman when questioned by cops disclosed that the box was too large to fit in the minivan and they wanted it. So, the only thing to do was put the box on top of the van. She said that the box would have dropped off so she had her daughter get in the box in order to grip it down.

When police questioned the woman about how safe that was for her teenager she reported that she had secured the box with a clothing hanger. So what I am trying to comprehend from this story is how a clothes hanger would secure the box.

Maybe she bent the hanger around the rack on the roof of the minivan and then stuck it through the box so the girl could clutch on or something. Either way, this is the most ludicrous thing I have heard a person do in a long time. I grant this mother the “idiot of the week award.”

Even though the 13-year-old girl was on the top in the box she wasn’t injured. The mother was out on bond shortly after the incident. What doesn’t make sense to me is why she couldn’t flatten the box or find a rope to attach it on.

It seems like a large jump to go from it won’t fit in the car to jump on top and I will attempt to drive home cautiously. I wonder what the rest of her relations thought of the occurrence. They probably thought it was okay just like the mother.

Not only was this stupid but it was very dangerous. The girl would have landed on the street if for any reason her mother would have slammed on the breaks. She would have gotten road rash, in all probability have head trauma, and probably been struck by her mothers or anothers automobile.

This situation could have turned into a catastrophe but luckily it didn’t. It makes me speculate if this lady is one of those parents that drives around with her children on her lap rather than in a car seat. It is illegal for children not to be restrained while sitting in the car because it’s risky.

Some guardians just don’t take their children’s safety seriously. If anything would have happened there wouldn’t have been anything to save her. The mother in the car had a seatbelt, airbags, and the iron and steel on her car to protect her but this girl had zero. This cardboard box wouldn’t have stood up to anything. And she would have flown out of it beforehand. I hope that the law comes down hard on this lady because she is absolutely mad!

After a long period of silence, concerns about a new Al Qaeda terrorist attack have emerged. The main suspect in the plot, Najibullah Zazi, is a 24 year old Afghan national, who was living in Aurora, Co, and working as an airport shuttle driver at nearby Denver Internatinal Airport. Zazi has been arrested, and has admitted to having ties to Al Qaeda.

According to the FBI, the terrorists, including Zazi were plotting to blow up a major center of transportation, such as a subway or railroad station. Based on evidence turned up in the investigation, New York, an urban center, with large public crowds, was considered the most likely target. Police raided the Aurora home of the 24 years old Zazi and carted away his computer, and 6 boxes of material. Inside his computer they found information about how to create bombs, shopping places for the chemicals needed to create the bombs, and pictures of some airports.

While New York City was considered the most likely target of the plot, Police were also concerned that Zazi, an airport shuttle driver at Denver International Airport, may have been plotting to launch a terrorist attack there as well.

Zazi’s attorney has denied that Zazi had anything to do with any type of terrorist plot, and people who worked with him, at the airport describe him as an affable kid, who has been a hard working supporter of his family.

It is evident that the recent arrests have sparked concern that limos, as cars of prestige, with large roomy interiors and ready access to airports and other transportation centers could be packed with explosives and used to launch deadly attacks. The concern that a limousine might be used in terrorist attack has sparked FBI investigation into other limousine companies. Within the past several days, the FBI has been questioning a number of limousine companies in Las Vegas.

Zazi received his license to drive limousines in April, and had lies on his papers claiming residence in Aurora since 1999. In truth, he had immigrated to America from Pakistan with the last year, was working on a green card, and has had plans to bring his wife to America. With his recent alleged admission to having ties to Al Qaeda, it is difficult to know how the case will go, although according to local sources Zazi was released on his own custody pending investigation.
